The Saints’ Drew Brees may be the league MVP, but he’ll need his defense to step up and contain the Detroit duo of pivot Matt Stafford and receiver Calvin Johnson, who might be the best wideout in the NFL. In the end, it might be Detroit’s indiscipline that ruins their chances because they’ll take too many penalties to stay with an experienced New Orleans team. Ravens Bengals Odds - Sunday, 4:15 PM ET

Bears Raiders Odds - Sunday, 4:05 PM ET

The Bears (7-3) beat San Diego 31-20, but it came at a cost as Jay Cutler has to have surgery on his thumb and may be out for the season. Chicago also has a great ground game with Matt Forte and a veteran defense that knows they have to step up, along with the best special teams in the NFL, so don’t count out their price per head bookmaking odds.

The Raiders (6-4) held off Minnesota for a 27-21 win on the road, forcing five turnovers on the day. But they still committed 12 penalties and the Raiders would probably have an extra win, maybe two, if not for penalties.
