Even Montreal Canadiens fans have to be scratching their heads by what is going on with the New England Patriots, who have dropped two in a row and face a dangerous trip to MetLife Stadium to take on a surging New York Jets team.

Patriots Jets Odds - Sunday, 8:20 PM ET

The Patriots (5-3) had four turnovers and lost on a last-second drive in a 24-20 loss at home to the New York Giants, who also ended their perfect season in the Super Bowl in 2007. Price per head sports fans have watched the Patriots give up a lot of yards this year, but that may not be the biggest worry: Tom Brady has thrown five picks in five games and that may not sound like it a lot, but it is for him.

The Jets (5-3) got their first road win of the season in a 27-11 victory in Buffalo, forcing three turnovers and holding the ball for almost 38 minutes. They controlled the clock with a running game that racked up 126 yards, while Mark Sanchez improved as the game wore on. The defense held the Jets in it until the offense came around, and they’re starting to look like a Super Bowl contender.

NFL betting odds have the Jets as a 1.5-point favorite at home against the Patriots, who are 3-2 SU and ATS in their last five meetings with the Jets on the road, with three games over the posted total. Look for New York to pounce on a susceptible New England team and they’ll also remember the 45-3 beatdown they took in New England last year (although they did end up coming back to beat the Patriots in the postseason). Take the Jets to cover the sport betting spread.

Even Intertops betting players had to be mildly shocked to see New England lose against Pittsburgh, but the Patriots will have to shake it off as they welcome the New York Giants to town this week.

Giants Patriots Odds - Sunday, 4:15 PM ET

The Giants (5-2) failed to cover the per head spread in a 20-17 win at home over Miami, and they may have been fortunate to come away with the win. Eli Manning continued his stellar season by going 31-of-45 for 349 yards and a pair of touchdowns, but the Giants’ offense really couldn’t get going, especially on the ground where they ran for 58 yards. But they could get away with it because, well, it’s Miami.

The Patriots (5-2) were manhandled in a 25-17 loss in Pittsburgh, and it could have been worst, but they picked five first downs due to flags by the Steelers. Tom Brady was 24-of-35 for 198 yards and a pair of touchdowns, but it wasn’t his best performance as the Steelers were in his face all day. He’ll be up against another good pass rush in the Giants.

New England is a 9-point favorite at home, where they are 2-1 SU and ATS in three meetings with all three games falling under the posted total. This has the makings of a shootout as the New England offense will be out to erase the Pittsburgh game, but their defense gives up a lot as well. The Patriots should win, but take the Giants to cover before making your Breeders Cup betting picks.

Even Toronto Blue Jays fans are excited about this week’s action in the NFL as Buffalo and Washington will head to the north, but that game has to take a back seat to a couple of huge matchups, one in each conference.

Patriots Steelers Odds - Sunday, 4:15 PM ET

The Patriots are 2.5-point price per head favorites after they come off a bye to visit Pittsburgh, where they are 4-1 SU and ATS in their last five trips. All five meetings have gone over the posted total, and this could be another high-scoring affair as New England gives up a lot of yards, while Pittsburgh’s defense isn’t as stout as they have been in recent years. These AFC rivals always put on a show when they get together and this will be no exception, but we’re sticking with the favored Patriots to cover the spread.

Cowboys Eagles Odds - Sunday, 8:20 PM ET

The Eagles are 3.5-point favorites at home as they’re also coming off a bye, while Dallas routed St. Louis in a game that was as good as a bye. Philadelphia is 2-3 SU and 3-2 ATS in their last five at home against the Cowboys, who got a massive rushing performance from DeMarco Russell, but the Eagles aren’t as bad against the run as their numbers say. Also, the Philadelphia secondary must be drooling at the prospect of Tony Romo throwing picks, so we’re going with the Eagles in our sports betting book.

It won’t be a Bet Online scam if you see Green Bay favored by a huge amount this weekend when they head to Minnesota for an NFC North clash with the lowly Vikings, as they covered a double-digit spread last week. It’s just a matter of how much they’ll be favored by at the Metrodome.

Packers Vikings Odds- Sunday, 1:00 PM ET

The Packers were favored by 16 points at St. Louis and managed to come away with a 24-3 win that wasn’t very exciting after the first half. All of the scoring was done before halftime as the Packers took their foot off the gas, but they were up against one of the worst offenses in the Rams. Taking Green Bay should be one of the most popular NFLpicks this week.

The Vikings looked dreadful in a 39-10 loss in Chicago, and it also appears as though they’ll be making a change at quarterback as Christian Ponder replaced Donovan McNabb late in the game and didn’t look that bad. At this point in the season, the 0-5 Vikings don’t have much to lose if they hand the reins over the first-round draft pick.

The odds for this game aren’t out yet as the Vikings still have to make their decision on their quarterback, but either way, Green Bay are going to be huge favorites and don’t be surprised if it reaches double digits. The Packers are 3-2 SU and 4-1 ATS in their last five trips to Minnesota, and there is nothing to suggest that Minnesota will be able to hold them off. Take Green Bay when you bet football online this weekend.

Philadelphia’s past odds sound like a BetOnline scam now, but they weren’t the only sportsbook to give the Eagles too much credit as it has been an awful start to the campaign for this “dream team”. Now, the Eagles head into Washington for a massive divisional game against the rested Redskins.

Eagles Redskins Odds - Sunday, 1:00 PM ET

The Eagles (1-4) had five turnovers, including four picks by Michael Vick, in a 31-24 loss in Buffalo, and even a late rally doesn’t mask the problems that Philadelphia has. They turn the ball over far too much, and the line needs a lot of help. Per head players had no idea the Eagles were going to stumble out of the gate like this, and they don’t need a win for the standings; they just need to stop the bleeding.

The Redskins (3-1) are coming off a bye as one of the biggest surprises in the NFL, and they’re the anti-Eagles; they don’t make many mistakes, they control the clock and the tempo, and their defense does the rest. The Redskins should be 4-0, if not for a poor offensive performance against Dallas, but now Washington has to continue this play with a target on their back.

Washington will be the home favorites here, but they’ve won just one of their last five at home against the Eagles, with three games going over the posted total. We’re taking the Eagles as they have little to no pressure on them anymore, and the Redskins are now the team to beat in the NFC East. Go with Philadelphia in your online sports book.

Fans of the Toronto Blue Jays watched their own rookie, Brett Lawrie, make a huge impact on the team, but he hasn’t had half of the coverage that Carolina’s Cam Newton has received due to being a Heisman winner and the No.1 pick in the draft. Newton will lead his Panthers out on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, who got in the face of another rookie pivot last week.

Saints Panthers Odds - Sunday, 1:00 PM ET

The Saints (3-1) had three sacks and bothered Jacksonville’s Blaine Gabbert all day in a 23-10 win over the Jaguars on the road, while Drew Brees was 31-of-44 for 351 yards, a touchdown and two picks. It wasn’t his best game, but the New Orleans defense came through for their leader and if that unit can continue to improve, the Saints will rise among price per head sports fans.

The Panthers (1-3) came up just short in a 34-29 loss in Chicago, although Newton was 27-of-46 for 374 yards, a touchdown, a pick and two scores on the ground. Carolina has now going 0-3 when Newton has thrown for at least 300 yards, and they won when he passed for 158 yards.

New Orleans are favored by six points in Carolina, where they are 2-3 SU and 3-2 ATS in their last five trips, with all five games going under the posted total, and this game has shootout written all over it. Look for the Panthers to try and run the ball more to keep Brees on the sideline, and that should allow them to keep the Saints from covering in your online sports book.

Now that the Blue Jays season is over, their fans can focus on the NFL and specifically, doing some sports betting as the league is starting to heat up in Week 4. Here are three injuries to keep an eye on ahead of gametime.

Michael Vick, Philadelphia

The Eagles’ pivot was beaten up by the New York Giants’ defense in a loss last week, which has been a recurring theme for Vick, who spoke out about it to the media. His hand isn’t broken, instead it is a bad bruise on his non-throwing hand and he said that he would definitely play this week against San Francisco. He was a full participant in practice, so that is a good sign.

Marques Colston, New Orleans

Price per head bookmaking players know that Drew Brees can get by with any amount of weapons in New Orleans, but Colston is the best receiver he has. Colston broke his collarbone in Week 1 and was due to come back in Week 6, but he has been cleared to play this week. He probably will be eased back into the offense, but look for him in the red zone.

Frank Gore, San Francisco

Gore has gotten off to an awful start in 2011 and an ankle injury may be hampering him more than he is letting on. He was limited in practice, so look for the 49ers to give more work to Kendall Hunter, who may provide a spark for a San Francisco offense that is dreadful. However, he won’t provide a large boost to their odds in your online sports book.

Even bass fishing fans tend to clear their schedules for Sunday afternoon so they can get in on some NFL action, and as we head into the fourth week of the regular season, things are starting to heat up. Here are three games to check out from the NFC.

Lions Cowboys Odds - Sunday, 1:00 PM ET

The Cowboys are 1.5-point favorites at home after a tough win over Washington, but they’re playing on a short week and running into a red-hot Detroit team that came back from 20 points down to win in Minnesota. Detroit has lost three of their last four in Dallas, but this Detroit team is different and the Cowboys are banged up.

Sports Betting Pick: Detroit +1.5

Panthers Bears Odds - Sunday, 1:00 PM ET

The Bears are 6-point favorites at home according to NFL betting lines, and while the numbers don’t look good for their defense, Chicago has played Atlanta, Green Bay and New Orleans. The Panthers are coming off their first win, but Cam Newton is still a rookie quarterback and prone to making mistakes.

Sports Betting Pick: Chicago -6.5

49ers Eagles Odds - Sunday, 1:00 PM ET

This game is off the board right now as Philadelphia is awaiting the status of Michael Vick, who suffered a hand injury against the New York Giants and may miss this game. The 49ers won an ugly game against Cincinnati, but their offense isn’t good enough to get them a win this week.

Sports Betting Pick: Philadelphia

If you’re fishing for picks to make next week in the NFL, it’s not going to be very hard as the season is just getting started. In particular, it’s going to be a fun weekend in the AFC and here is a look at three games to watch in that conference.

Steelers Texans Odds - Sunday, 1:00 PM ET

The Steelers may be slight favorites on the road according to NFL betting lines as they’re 2-1 SU and ATS in three meetings with the Texans, who last beat Pittsburgh in 2002. This will be a matchup of Houston’s high-powered offense against Pittsburgh’s steely defense, but even though Houston gave up 40 points to New Orleans, their defense is much improved.

Online Betting Pick: Houston

Patriots Raiders Odds - Sunday, 4:15 PM ET

The Raiders should be underdogs at home, even after beating the New York Jets at home, but the Patriots are 3-2 SU and 2-2-1 ATS in their last five meetings with Oakland, splitting a pair on the West Coast. The last two meetings have gone over the posted total, and this one should be a high-scoring contest as well. Tom Brady threw four picks last week against Buffalo; he’ll be sharp on Sunday.

Online Betting Pick: New England

Jets Ravens Odds - Sunday, 8:20 PM ET

The line for this game will be close as Rex Ryan returns to Baltimore for the first time since heading to New York, and last year’s meeting between the two was a 10-9 slugfest at the new Meadowlands (now called MetLife Stadium). This will be more of the same as the Jets pull out a close one on the road.

Online Betting Pick: New York Jets

If you’re fishing for a trio of games to wager on in the third week of the NFL regular season, we have you covered and this weekend, the AFC is the place to be for sports betting players.

Patriots Bills Odds - Sunday, 1:00 PM ET

The Patriots are 9-point favorites as they go for their 16th win in a row over the Bills, and their eighth straight win in Buffalo, but the Bills are off to a great start and riding a lot of momentum. However, you can’t beat history and Tom Brady has the Bills’ number (that number is a 103.0 passer rating in 18 games).

Bet On Sports: New England -9

Jets Raiders Odds - Sunday, 4:05 PM ET

The Jets are favored by 3.5 points in Oakland, where they have won two of their last three trips, and covered the spread once. The Raiders are playing above their weight right now, but unless Darren McFadden can have a monster day, the Jets should avoid a BetOnline football upset.

Bet On Sports: New York Jets -3.5

Steelers Colts Odds - Sunday, 8:20 PM ET

The Colts are 10.5-point underdogs at home against the Steelers, who are 3-2 SU and 2-2 ATS in their last five trips to Indianapolis, and they should come away with a win this week. But the Colts are a solid bet to cover as Kerry Collins has a passer rating of 90.7 in five meetings with Pittsburgh, and the Colts will play with some semblance of pride this week, enough to keep it close.

Bet On Sports: Indianapolis +10.5
