MLB blogs are heating up as the regular season is almost here, and the NBA and NHL seasons are winding down, but the NFL always takes priority in the sport betting online betting world. But you have to pay close attention to what happened in the offseason.
Player movement is usually the biggest factor that cappers who use price per head services should look to when wagering on football, as players are switching teams more often than ever before. Always keep track of which players are free agents, which teams need to fill which positions and then follow the pursuit. But as the Philadelphia Eagles will tell you, picking up a number of big-name free agents isn’t always the way to NFL success.
But now you have suspensions and other things to worry about, and all you have to do is look at what happened to New Orleans this season. Losing their coach, general manager and other significant parts of their team is going to really hurt their chances to win the Super Bowl, and not only that, it’ll boost the chances of the teams around them that haven’t had any troubles in the offseason.
You don’t need to make your Super Bowl bets right away; take your time and wait for everything to calm down before you go with one team because the minute you wager on a team, that’s when they either lose or pick up someone to change the way you look at them in your online sports book.

Even March Madness can’t compare to the Super Bowl in terms of one-day betting, as the championship game in the NFL is a massive event that keeps getting bigger. However, you can profit off picking your champion ahead of time and here are a few factors to look for before the season starts.
Free Agency
More than ever, the NFL is being ruled by free agents making big-money moves, and you can just look back to Philadelphia’s market splurge last offseason as a warning; being a major player on the free-agent scene doesn’t guarantee a championship. Scout the free-agent transaction carefully to check out which moves could swing the title picture (example: Peyton Manning to Denver).
Injuries
Injuries pop up in every sort of wagering, whether you’re betting March Madness odds to looking at futures for the World Cup, and especially in the world of football. Whether it’s a concussion, a torn ACL or even a hamstring that could nag an important player throughout the season, make sure you know all about a team’s health before going to the sportsbook.
Who Is Playing For What
The main focus of some teams is a championship or bust, while some teams are aiming to just improve in an attempt to challenge the top teams in the NFL. You’re not betting on potential, however; you’re playing for this year and the odds reflect a team’s chances to win the Super Bowl, not get better. Keep that in your thoughts as you’re making your sports bet on the big game next February.

Even the NBA trade deadline has been overshadowed by the Peyton Manning saga as the four-time MVP was released from Indianapolis, which he turned into a perennial Super Bowl contender, and he is now on the market. But who will come out on top in the Manning sweepstakes.
Manning (who may be also checking out some March Madness spreads after he was shown at the Duke-North Carolina game a couple weeks ago) met with a number of teams over the weekend, and reportedly, Denver and Arizona have emerged as the frontrunners, although Manning will also meet with Miami and Tennessee as well.
Miami is the place where many think Manning will end up as they may have the best supporting cast for him, at least offensively, and he has a house in Florida. Miami Heat star LeBron James, who made his own highly-anticipated (and hotly controversial) “Decision”, even lobbied for Manning to take his talents to South Beach. Tennessee is also intriguing because Manning went to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and still has ties to the state. Also, he would be in the same division as the Colts, and a little revenge could factor in as well.
Arizona may have the edge when it comes to the reported frontrunners, but we’re leaning towards the Dolphins, who can offer warm weather, Manning’s lone Super Bowl win came in Miami and he can also play against rival New England and quarterback Tom Brady twice in the regular season. If we were prodded to make a choice, Peyton Manning to Miami would be our pick at betting sites.

Even if you read an NBA blog, you may get in on some football action because, quite frankly, it’s the most popular sport to bet on and it’s almost like an event where everyone can get involved. You may see certain numbers repeated over and over again in your sportsbook, and it is for a reason. We’re here to give you those reasons.
If you’re looking at March Madness odds, you won’t really have to worry about certain numbers, but in gridiron action, it’s a different story as you will find numbers such as 3, 4, 6, 7 and 10 often when you are going through your weekly NFL betting lines. Three and seven are obvious enough as they’re what you get for a touchdown or a field goal, and ten is the two of those combined. But you’ll find that roughly 15-20% of games end in a 3-point margin, while 5-10% of games finish with a 7-point margin.
You will go to your sportsbook and see a line of 2.5 points instead of three, and 7.5 instead of seven, and that is the sportsbooks trying to entice players to wager on the game since it’s quite rare that a game will end with those margins of victory, although it seems like a lot more often as you watch on a weekly basis. Take these reasons into account next season when you’re gearing up to make NFL football picks in your sport betting book.
